Bread Pudding

Method

Preparation

1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2

Prepare the Bread

Cube the day-old bread into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl.

3

Mix Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together milk, heavy cream, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.

4

Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet mixture over the cubed bread and gently stir until the bread is fully soaked.

5

Transfer to Baking Dish

Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and pour the bread mixture into it, spreading it evenly.

6

Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the pudding is set and the top is golden brown.

7

Prepare Wine Sauce

While the pudding is baking, prepare the wine sauce (see instructions below).

8

Serve

Once the bread pudding is done, remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving with wine sauce drizzled on top.
