Method

Tea Infusion

  1. 1

    Prepare the Black Tea

In a small saucepan, bring 250 ml of water to a boil. Once boiling, add 2 tablespoons of black tea leaves and remove from heat. Let steep for about 5 minutes, then strain the tea to remove the leaves. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature.

Cocktail Preparation

  1. 2

    Mix the Cocktail

In a mixing glass, combine 50 ml of Maker's Mark Bourbon, 25 ml of Averna Amaro, 25 ml of Cocchi di Torino, and 2 dashes of orange bitters. Add ice cubes to fill the glass halfway.

  2. 3

    Add the Tea

Once the black tea has cooled, add 30 ml of the infused black tea to the mixing glass with the other ingredients.

  3. 4

    Stir the Mixture

Using a bar spoon, stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds until well chilled.

Serving

  1. 5

    Strain and Serve

Strain the mixture into a chilled coupe or martini glass. Garnish with a twist of orange peel and a maraschino cherry.
