Preparing Coffee Mixture

Make Coffee Mixture
Brew 1 cup of strong coffee and allow it to cool. Stir in 2 tablespoons of sugar and 2 tablespoons of coffee liqueur until dissolved.
Making Mascarpone Filling

Combine Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together 4 egg yolks and 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar until creamy. Add 16 oz of mascarpone cheese and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

Whip Cream
In a separate bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined.
Assembling Tiramisu

Layer Ingredients
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee mixture and arrange them in a single layer at the bottom of a 9x9 inch dish.

Add Filling
Spread half of the mascarpone filling over the layer of ladyfingers.

Repeat Layers
Repeat the process with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone filling.
Chilling and Serving

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight for best flavor.

Serve
Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and sprinkle chocolate shavings as a garnish.
