Select Your Bread
Choose a fresh loaf of sourdough or whole grain bread. Ensure it is sliced evenly for optimal toasting.

Toast the Bread
Place the slices of bread in a toaster or on a grill. Toast until golden brown and crispy, about 3-5 minutes depending on your device.

Prepare the Butter and Preserves
While the bread is toasting, measure out 4 tablespoons of Vermont butter and 4 tablespoons of your chosen fruit preserves.

Plate the Toast
Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the toaster or grill. Place the slices on a serving plate.

Add Butter and Preserves
Spread 1 tablespoon of Vermont butter on each slice of toast. Follow with 1 tablespoon of fruit preserves on top of the butter.

Serve Immediately
Serve the sliced toast warm, allowing guests to enjoy the combination of melted butter and sweet preserves.
