Make sure you have all the ingredients ready: Pierre Ferrend Cognac, Campari, Pernod, Dom Benedictine, and Salted Maple Shrub.

Prepare Shrub
If you don't have pre-made Salted Maple Shrub, you can make it by mixing equal parts of maple syrup and vinegar, add a pinch of salt, and let it sit for a few hours.

Combine Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, add 1 oz of Pierre Ferrend Cognac, 1 oz of Campari, 0.5 oz of Pernod, 0.5 oz of Dom Benedictine, and 0.5 oz of Salted Maple Shrub.

Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
Serving

Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into a chilled coupe or rocks glass.

Express the oils from the orange peel over the drink, then place the strip in the glass as a garnish.
