Filet Mignon

Method

Preparing the Filet Mignon

  1. 1

    Season the steaks

Rub the filet mignon steaks with olive oil, then season both sides generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Sprinkle fresh rosemary on top.

  2. 2

    Preheat the grill

Preheat your grill to high heat, around 450°F (232°C).

  3. 3

    Grill the steaks

Place the seasoned filet mignon steaks on the grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and grill for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare doneness. Adjust cooking time based on your preferred level of doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest the steaks

Once cooked, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Preparing the Truffle Fries

  1. 5

    Cut the potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to create fries.

  2. 6

    Fry the potatoes

Deep fry the cut potatoes in hot oil at 350°F (175°C) until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 7

    Season the fries

Remove fries from the oil, drain on paper towels, and immediately drizzle with truffle oil and sprinkle with salt. Toss to coat.

  4. 8

    Garnish

Finish by adding chopped fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese on top of the fries before serving.
