Method

Chicken Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Cut the chicken breast into strips about 1 inch wide. Place them in a bowl and season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix well to coat the chicken evenly. Set aside for at least 30 minutes to marinate.

Breading Mixture

  1. 2

    Prepare the Breading Station

In three separate shallow dishes, add all-purpose flour in the first dish, beat the eggs in the second dish, and mix breadcrumbs with parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning in the third dish.

  2. 3

    Bread the Chicken

Take each marinated chicken strip and first coat it in the flour, shaking off any excess. Then, dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, coat the chicken in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure the breadcrumbs stick. Repeat for all chicken strips.

Frying

  1. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large, deep skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can test the oil by dropping a small piece of bread into it; if it sizzles and browns quickly, it’s ready.

  2. 5

    Fry the Chicken Fingers

Carefully place the breaded chicken strips in the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Use a slotted spoon to transfer cooked chicken fingers to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
