Method
Preparation
- 1
Trim the Green Beans
Wash the fresh green beans under cold water and trim both ends using a sharp knife. Set them aside.
- 2
Prepare the Breading Station
In three separate shallow bowls, place the all-purpose flour in the first bowl, beat the eggs in the second bowl, and combine the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper in the third bowl.

- 3
Bread the Green Beans
Take each trimmed green bean and first dip it into the flour, ensuring it is thoroughly coated. Then, dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, roll the green bean in the breadcrumb mixture until completely covered. Place the breaded green beans on a plate and repeat until all are breaded.
Frying
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large frying pan or deep skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can test the oil's readiness by dropping a small piece of bread into the oil; if it sizzles, it's ready.
- 5
Fry the Green Beans
Carefully add the breaded green beans to the hot oil in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 3-4 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove them from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Serving
- 6
Serve
Once all the green beans are fried, serve them warm as an appetizer or side dish. You can pair them with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch or aioli.
