Rinse the calamari rings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix well until evenly combined.

Dredge the Calamari
Coat the calamari rings in the flour mixture, ensuring they are well covered. Shake off any excess flour.

Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan or pot, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 375°F (190°C).

Carefully add the coated calamari rings to the hot oil in small batches. Fry for 2-3 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.

Combine Ingredients
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, hot sauce, garlic powder, and lemon juice.
