Method

Preparing the Fajita Steak

  1. 1

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add a little oil if necessary to prevent sticking.

  2. 2

Season the fajita steak with salt, pepper, and any additional spices you prefer (like cumin or paprika).

  3. 3

Cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until it reaches your desired level of doneness.

  4. 4

Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before chopping it into small pieces.

Assembling the Burrito

  1. 5

On a large flour tortilla, place a generous amount of Mexican rice in the center.

  2. 6

Add the chopped fajita steak on top of the rice.

  3. 7

Layer on the shredded lettuce and cheddar cheese.

  4. 8

Add a dollop of sour cream on top.

  5. 9

Carefully fold in the sides of the tortilla and then roll it from the bottom to the top to create a burrito.

Preparing the Sides

  1. 10

In the same skillet, add the black beans and heat them until warmed through.

  2. 11

If you desire, season the black beans with salt, pepper, and a squeeze of lime juice for added flavor.

Serving

  1. 12

Serve the burrito with a side of Mexican rice and black beans on a plate.

  2. 13

    Enjoy your Burrito de Carne!
