    Put on gloves and eyewear. In a clean mixing container, combine the natural rubber compound with the carbon black pigment and antioxidant. Stir thoroughly until color and stabilizer are evenly dispersed (about 3–5 minutes).

    Add glitter

    Gradually sprinkle the fine black glitter into the mixed rubber while stirring slowly to ensure even distribution. Continue mixing until glitter is uniformly suspended (2–3 minutes). Avoid entraining excess air.

    Coat the lasts

    Spray the boot lasts lightly with release agent and let dry briefly. Using a brush or by dipping, apply a smooth, even layer of the glittered rubber mixture to the lasts to form the inner surface of the boot upper. Build the layer to desired thickness (typically 2–3 mm per coat). Allow tack time between coats as specified by the rubber compound (usually 10–20 minutes). Repeat until upper thickness is reached (2–4 coats).

    Cure the upper

    After final coat, allow the rubber on the lasts to partially set, then move to a warm drying area or oven per compound instructions. Cure at the recommended temperature and time for the natural rubber compound (example: 80–100°C for 30–60 minutes) to set the upper but not fully vulcanize the final assembly.

    Prepare lining and sockliner

    Trim the polyester fleece liners and EVA footbeds to match the interior shape of the cured rubber uppers on the lasts. Ensure smooth edges and correct fit.

    Adhere lining

    Apply contact cement sparingly to the inner rubber upper and to the back of the textile lining per adhesive instructions. Allow the cement to become tacky (as directed), then press the lining into place on the upper, smoothing wrinkles and ensuring the fleece sits flush to the rubber. Repeat for the other boot.

    Install sockliner

    Glue the EVA sockliner into the footbed area using contact cement or adhesive recommended for foam, ensure firm contact and align properly. Let cure fully according to adhesive instructions.

Sole & tread

    Prepare soles

    Clean the sole molds and apply release agent to molds. Prepare the vulcanizable sole compound; degas if necessary. Press or pour the sole compound into the tread molds, ensuring even fill and elimination of air pockets.

    Vulcanize soles

    Heat the tread molds to the compound's vulcanization temperature and cure for the required time (example: 140–160°C for 10–20 minutes depending on formulation). Remove soles from molds and trim flash as needed.

    Bond soles to uppers

    Apply rubber bonding agent to the bottom edge of the cured upper and to the mating surface of the sole. Position the sole on the last with the upper and press firmly, using clamps or a press to ensure even contact. Heat and press per bonding agent instructions to achieve full adhesion (often moderate heat and pressure for several minutes).

    Attach pull tabs and trim

    Adhere or stitch pull tabs at the back of the boot opening using suitable adhesive or stitching through the rubber welt if designed. Apply edge trim (welt) around the top opening and sole edge, trimming excess and smoothing joints.

    Seal seams and finish surface

    Apply seam sealant to any visible seams or joins between upper and sole and along the trim lines. Wipe away excess and smooth with a damp cloth. Inspect surface for any loose glitter; press lightly to embed any loose particles using a warm roller or small hand press.

    Final cure and inspection

    Perform a final low-temperature post-cure if recommended for the compound (example: 70–90°C for 30 minutes) to ensure full adhesion and dimensional stability. Remove boots from lasts, trim any remaining flash, check fit and finish, and perform water resistance test by filling with a small amount of water or submerging to check for leaks.
