Chicken Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- 2
Bread the Chicken
Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in the beaten eggs, and coat with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
Cooking
- 3
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the breaded chicken breasts and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish.
- 4
Add Marinara and Cheese
Pour marinara sauce evenly over the fried chicken breasts. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top of the marinara sauce and garnish with fresh basil.
- 5
Bake
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
