Beef Souvlaki
Method
Preparation
- 1
Marinate the Beef
In a bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Add the beef cubes and toss to coat evenly. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- 2
Prepare the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- 3
Skewer the Beef
Thread the marinated beef cubes onto skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
- 4
Grill the Souvlaki
Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the beef is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
- 5
Warm the Pita
While the beef is grilling, place the pita bread on the grill for the last 2 minutes to warm them up.
- 6
Serve
Serve the grilled beef souvlaki with the warm pita and house cut fries on the side.
