Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Edamame

Rinse the edamame pods under cold water to remove any dirt or debris. Drain them and set aside.

  2. 2

    Boil Water

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. This will be used for steaming the edamame.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Steam the Edamame

Once the water is boiling, place a steamer basket over the pot, making sure it does not touch the water. Add the edamame pods to the steamer basket, cover with a lid, and steam for about 5-6 minutes until they are tender.

  2. 4

    Prepare the Sriracha Sauce

In a large mixing bowl, combine the steamed edamame with sriracha sauce and sea salt. Toss well to ensure the edamame is coated evenly.

Serving

  1. 5

    Garnish and Serve

Transfer the spicy edamame to a serving bowl. If desired, sprinkle sesame seeds on top and serve with lime wedges on the side for an extra zing.
