Preparing Rice

Cook the Rice
In a medium pot, combine 1 cup of white rice with 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil over high heat.

Cooking Salmon

Season the Salmon
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, black pepper, and minced garlic.

Sauté the Salmon
In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy.

Add Teriyaki Sauce
Flip the salmon fillets and pour the teriyaki sauce over them. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, basting the fillets with the sauce until cooked through.
Cooking Vegetables

Sauté the Vegetables
In the same skillet, after removing the salmon, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Add bell pepper, broccoli, and carrots. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until tender but still crisp.
Serving

Plate the Dish
Serve the sautéed salmon on a bed of fluffy white rice with the sautéed veggies on the side. Drizzle any remaining teriyaki sauce over the salmon.
