Preparation
- 1
Cook the Chicken
In a skillet over medium heat, add a little oil. Season the chicken breast with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Cook for about 6-7 minutes per side or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink in the center. Remove from heat and let it cool.
- 2
Prepare the Maduro
Peel the maduro and slice it into thick pieces. In the same skillet, add more oil if needed and fry the maduro slices until golden brown and slightly caramelized, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and let them drain on paper towels.
- 3
Mix the Filling
Once the chicken is cooled, shred it using two forks. In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken and cream cheese. Mix well until fully incorporated.
Assembly
- 4
Assemble the Munch Roll
On a serving plate or clean surface, lay out the fried maduro slices. Spread a layer of the chicken and cream cheese mixture on top of each slice. Add a spoonful of guacamole on top of the mixture, followed by a sprinkle of sweet chicharrón.
- 5
Serve
Roll up the maduro slices gently to form a 'roll' shape. Secure with a toothpick if necessary. Serve immediately and enjoy your Munch Roll!
