Method

Noodle Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Noodles

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the Lo Mein noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 4-5 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop cooking. Set aside.

Vegetable Stir-Fry

  1. 2

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a large skillet or wok, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the bell pepper, carrot, broccoli, green onions, and snow peas. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.

Sauce Preparation

  1. 3

    Mix the Sauce

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, and cornstarch until well combined. Set aside.

Combine Everything

  1. 4

    Combine Noodles and Sauce

Add the cooked Lo Mein noodles to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Pour the sauce over the top and toss everything together gently to combine, ensuring the noodles and vegetables are well coated in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.

Optional Meat Addition

  1. 5

    Cook the Meat (if using)

If adding chicken or steak, cook the sliced meat in the skillet before adding the vegetables, sautéing until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Set aside and mix in with the noodles and sauce at the end.

Serve

  1. 6

    Plate and Serve

Serve the Lo Mein hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired. Enjoy your delicious stir-fry!
