Chicken Tempura

Prepare Chicken
Cut the chicken breast into strips, approximately 1 inch wide.

Make Tempura Batter
In a mixing bowl, combine the tempura batter mix with cold water until smooth.

Heat Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat 2 cups of oil over medium-high heat.

Fry Chicken
Dip the chicken strips into the tempura batter and carefully place them into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes, then remove and drain on paper towels.
French Fries

Prepare Potatoes
Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips, similar to the size of traditional fries.

Heat Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat 2 cups of oil over medium-high heat.

Fry Potatoes
Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil and fry until they are golden brown and crispy, about 5-8 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels, then sprinkle with salt.

Prepare Plantains
Peel the ripe plantains and slice them diagonally into 1-inch thick pieces.

In a frying pan, heat 1 cup of oil over medium heat.

Fry the plantain slices in the hot oil until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
