Tempura Chicken

Bacon Sauce

Method

Tempura Chicken

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Cut the chicken breast into strips. Season with salt.

  2. 2

    Make the Tempura Batter

In a bowl, mix tempura flour with cold water until smooth. The batter should be light and slightly runny.

  3. 3

    Fry the Chicken

Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat. Dip each chicken strip into the tempura batter, then carefully place in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Steak

  1. 4

    Prepare the Steak

Season the flank steak or sirloin with salt and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. 5

    Cook the Steak

Cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from heat and let rest before slicing into thin strips.

Roll Assembly

  1. 6

    Prepare the Roll

Lay a nori sheet on a bamboo sushi mat. Spread a thin layer of cream cheese over the nori.

  2. 7

    Add Fillings

Place strips of tempura chicken, sliced steak, maduro, avocado, and chopped bacon on top of the cream cheese.

  3. 8

    Roll It Up

Using the mat, carefully roll the nori tightly from the bottom up, applying gentle pressure to keep the roll firm.

  4. 9

    Slice the Roll

Use a sharp knife to slice the roll into bite-sized pieces.

Bacon Sauce

  1. 10

    Make the Bacon Sauce

In a bowl, combine bacon grease, mayonnaise, and hot sauce. Mix until well combined.
