Method

Appetizers

  1. 1

    Prepare the mushrooms

Clean the Portobello mushrooms with a damp cloth to remove any dirt. Remove the stems and gently scrape out the gills with a spoon. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Mince the garlic

Peel the garlic cloves and mince them finely. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Chop the rosemary

Remove the leaves from the rosemary stems and chop them finely. Set aside.

  4. 4

    Heat the olive oil

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

  5. 5

    Sauté garlic

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

  6. 6

    Cook the mushrooms

Place the prepared Portobello mushrooms in the skillet, gill side up. Drizzle with additional olive oil if needed and sprinkle with salt and black pepper.

  7. 7

    Add rosemary

Sprinkle the chopped rosemary over the mushrooms and gently toss to coat.

  8. 8

    Sauté the mushrooms

Cook the mushrooms for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are tender and golden brown.

  9. 9

    Serve

Remove the mushrooms from the skillet and let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm as an appetizer.
