Method

Appetizers

  1. 1

    Prepare the mushrooms

Clean the fresh mushrooms with a damp cloth to remove any dirt. Trim off the stems and slice the mushrooms into thick pieces.

  2. 2

    Mince the garlic

Peel the garlic cloves and finely mince them. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Heat the olive oil

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until it shimmers.

  4. 4

    Sauté the garlic

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently, until the garlic is fragrant but not browned.

  5. 5

    Cook the mushrooms

Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Stir well to coat the mushrooms in the garlic oil. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are tender and start to brown.

  6. 6

    Season the dish

Sprinkle red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper over the mushrooms. Stir to combine and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

  7. 7

    Garnish and serve

Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the chopped fresh parsley. Serve warm as an appetizer.
