Directions
- 1
Prepare the Shrimp
Clean and devein the jumbo shrimp, pat them dry with paper towels, and season with salt and black pepper.
- 2
Sauté Aromatics
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and chopped shallots. Sauté until fragrant and translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
- 3
- 4
Deglaze the Pan
Pour in the dry white wine, scraping the bottom of the skillet to deglaze and incorporate any browned bits. Allow it to simmer for about 3 minutes until slightly reduced.
- 5
Add Broth and Cream
Stir in the chicken broth and bring to a gentle simmer. Then, add the heavy cream, stirring well to combine. Let it simmer for another 5 minutes to thicken slightly.
- 6
Finish the Sauce
Reduce the heat to low and add the butter, stirring until melted and incorporated into the sauce. Adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper to taste.
- 7
Combine Shrimp and Sauce
Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss them gently in the sauce. Allow to cook for an additional 2 minutes to warm through.
- 8
Garnish and Serve
Sprinkle the chopped parsley over the shrimp and sauce before serving. Serve hot with crusty bread or over rice.
