Camarones Al Ajillo Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp

In a bowl, combine the large shrimp with salt and black pepper. Toss to coat evenly and let it marinate for about 10 minutes.

  2. 2

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Allow it to become hot but not smoking.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Garlic

Add the minced garlic cloves to the hot oil. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes, or until the garlic becomes fragrant and slightly golden. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

  4. 4

    Cook the Shrimp

Carefully add the marinated shrimp to the skillet. Sprinkle the red pepper flakes over the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until the shrimp turn pink and opaque, stirring occasionally.

  5. 5

    Finish with Lemon and Parsley

Once the shrimp are cooked, remove the skillet from heat. Drizzle the lemon juice over the shrimp and sprinkle chopped parsley. Stir to combine all ingredients.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the Camarones Al Ajillo immediately, garnished with extra parsley if desired. Enjoy with crusty bread or over rice.
