Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Clams

Rinse the clams thoroughly under cold running water to remove any sand or debris. Soak them in a bowl of water for about 30 minutes to allow any remaining sand to escape.

  2. 2

    Sauté Garlic

In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, until fragrant but not browned.

  3. 3

    Add Clams

Add the rinsed clams to the pot and stir well to coat them with the garlic and oil mixture.

  4. 4

    Deglaze with Wine

Pour in the white wine and cover the pot. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the clams open up, shaking the pot occasionally.

  5. 5

    Finish the Sauce

Once the clams have opened, remove the lid and add the chopped parsley, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Stir gently to combine.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove the pot from heat and serve the clams in bowls with the green sauce, accompanied by crusty bread or over pasta if desired.
