Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steaks

Rub both sides of the steaks with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Place fresh rosemary on top of the steaks for added flavor.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steaks

Preheat your grill to high heat. Once hot, place the steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium rare, or to your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steaks

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

French Fry Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips to form fries. Rinse the fries in cold water to remove excess starch and dry them thoroughly with a paper towel.

  2. 6

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  3. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the dried potato strips into the hot oil in batches, avoiding overcrowding. Fry them for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

  4. 8

    Drain and Season

Using a slotted spoon, remove the fries from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Immediately sprinkle with salt while they are still hot.
