Method

Prepare the Croutons

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Bread

Cut the bread into small cubes (about 1-inch in size) and place them in a mixing bowl.

  3. 3

    Season the Bread

Drizzle the olive oil over the bread cubes. Sprinkle with garlic powder and salt, mixing until the bread is evenly coated.

  4. 4

    Bake the Croutons

Spread the seasoned bread cubes on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crunchy, stirring halfway through.

Prepare the Dressing

  1. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, grated Parmesan cheese, and minced garlic.

  2. 6

    Mix the Dressing

Whisk the ingredients together until smooth. Season with black pepper to taste.

Assemble the Salad

  1. 7

    Prepare the Romaine

Rinse the romaine lettuce under cold water and dry thoroughly with a salad spinner or paper towels. Chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 8

    Combine Salad Ingredients

In a large salad bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, croutons, and Caesar dressing.

  3. 9

    Toss the Salad

Toss the salad until all ingredients are well coated with the dressing.

  4. 10

    Serve

Serve immediately, garnished with additional grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
