In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until the sugar is fully dissolved.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours or until thoroughly chilled.

Churn Ice Cream
Once chilled, pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.

Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and heavy cream. Stir continuously until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth.
