Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Chicken

In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, gochujang, honey, minced garlic, minced ginger, and sesame oil. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

  2. 2

    Add Chicken

Add the chicken thighs to the marinade and coat them thoroughly. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for better flavor.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Chicken

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade (reserve the marinade) and place it in the skillet. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until the chicken is browned and cooked through.

  2. 4

    Add Marinade

Once the chicken is cooked, pour the reserved marinade into the skillet. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

  3. 5

    Garnish

Remove the skillet from heat. Sprinkle chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds over the chicken before serving.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve the Dish

Serve the spicy Korean chicken over steamed rice, accompanied by kimchi on the side.
