Fried Pickles

Jalapeño Ranch Dipping Sauce

Method

Fried Pickles Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pickles

Drain the pickle chips thoroughly on paper towels to remove excess moisture.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate bowls, set up your breading station: one with flour, one with beaten eggs mixed with milk, and one with cornmeal mixed with ranch seasoning and grated parmesan cheese.

  3. 3

    Bread the Pickles

Dredge each pickle chip in flour, dip into the egg mixture, then coat with the cornmeal mixture. Ensure they are evenly coated.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large, deep skillet or fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Pickles

Fry the breaded pickle chips in batches, cooking for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Jalapeño Ranch Dipping Sauce Preparation

  1. 6

    Mix the Sauce

In a small bowl, combine the ranch dressing, minced jalapeños, lime juice, and garlic powder. Stir well until fully blended.

  2. 7

    Chill the Sauce

Cover the dipping sauce and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
