Coleslaw Preparation

Make the Coleslaw
In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded green cabbage and shredded carrot.

In a separate small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper until smooth.

Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrot mixture. Toss until well combined. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
Russian Dressing Preparation

Make the Russian Dressing
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, prepared horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, and paprika. Whisk until smooth and well combined.

Refrigerate the dressing until ready to use.
Sandwich Assembly

Toast the Rye Bread
Lightly toast the rye bread slices in a toaster or on a skillet until golden brown.

Heat the Pastrami
In a skillet, heat the hot pastrami over medium heat until warmed through, about 2-3 minutes.

Assemble the Sandwich
On two slices of toasted rye bread, layer the hot pastrami, followed by two slices of Swiss cheese. Top with a generous amount of coleslaw and a drizzle of Russian dressing. Place the remaining slices of rye bread on top.
