Stuffed Tomatoes
Method
Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Tomatoes
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the tops off the tomatoes and gently scoop out the insides using a spoon, making sure not to break the outer shell. Set aside the tomato flesh for later use.
- 2
Make the Cheese Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, chopped basil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- 3
Stuff the Tomatoes
Spoon the cheese mixture into each hollowed tomato until they are generously filled. Drizzle the tops with olive oil.
- 4
Bake the Tomatoes
Place the stuffed tomatoes in a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and slightly golden.
- 5
Serve
Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, and serve warm as a delightful appetizer or side dish.
