Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Cedar Plank
Soak the cedar plank in water for at least 1 hour before cooking to prevent burning.
- 2
Prepare the Glaze
In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, pineapple juice, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper. Cook over medium heat until the mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
- 3
Season the Salmon
Season the salmon filet with salt and pepper to taste.
- 4
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- 5
Cook the Salmon
Place the soaked cedar plank on the grill for 3-5 minutes until it starts to smoke. Then, place the salmon filet on the cedar plank and brush with the brown sugar pineapple glaze. Close the grill lid and cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
