Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Preparation

Remove the ribeye steak from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes prior to cooking. This helps ensure even cooking.

  2. 2

    Seasoning the Steak

Pat the steak dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with kosher salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Heating the Pan

In a large skillet or cast-iron pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.

  4. 4

    Cooking the Steak

Add the ribeye steak to the hot pan. Sear the steak for about 4-5 minutes on one side until a nice crust forms, then flip it over.

  5. 5

    Adding Flavor

Once flipped, add minced garlic and fresh rosemary to the pan. Continue cooking for an additional 4-5 minutes for medium-rare or until desired doneness, basting the steak with the oil and juices using a spoon.

  6. 6

    Resting

Remove the steak from the pan and allow it to rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This helps retain the juices.

  7. 7

    Serving

Slice the steak against the grain and serve it on a warm plate. Enjoy!
