Make the Tartar Sauce
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, dill pickles, capers, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix well and set aside in the refrigerator.

Prepare the Batter
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Gradually add the Hoyne Pilsner beer, mixing until smooth.

Heat the Oil
In a deep pot, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Batter the Cod
Dip each cod fillet into the batter, ensuring it is fully coated.

Fry the Fish
Carefully place the battered cod into the hot oil. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Serve the fish hot with house tartar sauce on the side and lemon wedges for squeezing over the top.
