Preparation
- 1
Cook the Meat
In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef (or your choice of meat). Season with salt, black pepper, cumin, and chili powder. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 7-10 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
Assembly
- 2
Layer the Nachos
On a baking sheet, spread the tortilla chips evenly. Sprinkle the cooked meat over the chips. Then, layer the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese evenly on top.
- 3
Add Toppings
Add jalapeños over the cheese, followed by chopped green onions. Optionally, you can add more cheese on top for extra cheesiness.
Baking
- 4
Bake the Nachos
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake the assembled nachos in the oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and is bubbly.
Serving
- 5
Serve with Dips
Remove the nachos from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve with sour cream, guacamole, and salsa on the side.
