Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Seasoning the Steak

Sprinkle the top sirloin steak with salt, black pepper, and cumin on both sides.

  2. 2

    Cooking the Steak

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned top sirloin steak. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is achieved.

  3. 3

    Resting the Steak

Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Making the Cheese Enchiladas

  1. 4

    Preparing the Tortillas

In a separate pan, warm the tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side until soft.

  2. 5

    Assembling the Enchiladas

Spread a portion of the shredded cheese on each tortilla, roll them up, and place them seam side down in a baking dish.

  3. 6

    Adding Sauce

Pour the enchilada sauce evenly over the rolled tortillas, ensuring they are well covered.

  4. 7

    Baking

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the enchiladas for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Preparing the Sides

  1. 8

    Cooking Rice

Prepare the rice according to the package instructions.

  2. 9

    Heating Refried Beans

Heat the refried beans in a small pot over low heat until warm.

Serving

  1. 10

    Plating the Dish

Slice the rested steak into thin strips. Serve the steak alongside the cheese enchiladas, cooked rice, and refried beans. Enjoy your carne asada!
