Prepare the Puff Pastry
- 1
Thaw the Puff Pastry
Remove the puff pastry sheets from the freezer and allow them to thaw in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
- 2
Roll out the Dough
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheets to create a larger surface area.
- 3
Cut the Pastry
Cut each sheet into rectangles, approximately 6 x 8 inches.
Prepare the Apple Filling
- 4
Mix the Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Toss until the apples are evenly coated.
Assemble and Bake the Strudel

Fill the Pastry
Place a portion of the apple filling in the center of each puff pastry rectangle.

Fold the edges of the pastry over the filling, sealing it securely. Use a fork to crimp the edges for a decorative finish.
- 7
Brush with Butter
Melt the unsalted butter and brush it over the tops of the strudels.
- 8
Bake
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake the strudels for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and flaky.
Serve
- 9
Plate the Strudel
Remove the strudels from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before plating.
- 10
Add Toppings
Top each strudel with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzle with caramel sauce.
