Pasta Preparation

Cook the Penne Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, typically about 10-12 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Sauté Garlic
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Add Tomatoes and Seasonings
Stir in the canned crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and sugar. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for 10-15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Combine Ingredients

Mix in Pasta and Mozzarella
Add the cooked penne pasta to the sauce and toss to combine. Gently fold in the cubed Grande mozzarella until it begins to melt slightly.

Serve with Basil and Parmesan
Remove from heat, top with fresh basil leaves and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately while hot.
