Cooking the Pasta

Boil the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Preparing the Sauce

Sauté the Vegetables
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced shallots and garlic, and sauté for about 2 minutes until fragrant.

Add the Seafood
Stir in the shrimp and crabmeat. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

Make the Rose Sauce
Pour in the heavy cream and crushed tomatoes into the skillet. Stir well to combine, and let it simmer for 5 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper.

Finish the Sauce
Add the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley to the sauce, stirring until the cheese has melted and the sauce is creamy.

Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked penne pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly in the creamy rose sauce.
