Prepare the Confit Cherry Tomatoes
Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F). In a baking dish, combine the cherry tomatoes, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Roast in the oven for about 1 hour until soft and caramelized.

Fry the Shallots
While the tomatoes are roasting, thinly slice the shallots. In a small skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the shallots and cook until crispy and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Toast the Bread
Toast the slices of rustic bread until golden brown and crispy.

Assemble the Tartine
Spread a generous amount of Boursin cheese on each slice of toasted bread. Top with the confit cherry tomatoes and sprinkle with crispy shallots and fresh basil leaves.
