Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Sauté the Seafood

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and crushed red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  2. 2

    Add Shrimp

Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until the shrimp turns pink and is cooked through. Remove the shrimp and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook Lobster Ravioli

In a separate pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the frozen lobster ravioli and cook according to the package instructions, usually about 3-4 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Making the Sauce

  1. 4

    Create the Base

In the same skillet used for the shrimp, pour in the vodka. Cook for about 2 minutes to let the alcohol evaporate.

  2. 5

    Add Tomatoes and Cream

Add the crushed tomatoes and heavy cream to the skillet. Stir well to combine and bring to a simmer. Cook for about 5 minutes.

  3. 6

    Season the Sauce

Season the sauce with salt, black pepper, and stir in the chopped fresh basil. Let simmer for another 2-3 minutes.

Combine and Serve

  1. 7

    Combine Ingredients

Return the cooked shrimp and lobster ravioli to the sauce. Gently toss to coat and heat through for about 2 minutes.

  2. 8

    Plate the Dish

Serve the cioppino in bowls. Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley.
