Preparation
1. Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
2. Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until fully combined.
3. Combine Wet Ingredients
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. Then add the milk, melted unsalted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
4. Combine Wet and Dry
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
Baking
5. Prepare for Toppings
In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, chopped pecans, and cinnamon.
6. Assemble the Dish
Spread the batter evenly in the greased baking dish. Sprinkle the brown sugar and pecan mixture evenly on top.
7. Bake
Pour maple syrup evenly over the top of the assembled dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
8. Cool and Serve
Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes before serving. Cut into squares and enjoy!
