Preparation

1. Juicing the Lemons

Cut the fresh lemons in half and use a citrus juicer or a reamer to extract the juice. You should aim for about 1 cup of lemon juice.

2. Mixing the Sugar

In a pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice and granulated sugar. Stir well until the sugar is fully dissolved.

3. Adding Water

Pour in 4 cups of cold water into the pitcher with the lemon juice and sugar mixture. Stir until well combined.

4. Chilling the Lemonade

If desired, refrigerate the lemonade for at least 30 minutes to chill. This step can be skipped if serving immediately over ice.
