Prepare the Garlic Butter
In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, add minced fresh garlic, chopped parsley, and salt. Stir well and cook for about 2-3 minutes, until fragrant. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

Prepare the Bread
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the footlong Italian bread in half lengthwise, creating two long pieces. Place the bread on a baking sheet, cut side up.

Add Cheese
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the garlic buttered bread halves.

Bake the Garlic Bread
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the bread are golden brown.

Serve
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a minute. Slice into smaller pieces if desired, and serve warm.
