Method

Preparing the Ravioli

  1. 1

    Boil the Ravioli

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the cheese ravioli to the pot and cook according to the package instructions until they float to the top, usually about 3-5 minutes. Drain and set aside to cool slightly.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Breading Station

Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls. In the first bowl, place the all-purpose flour. In the second bowl, beat the eggs. In the third bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Bread the Ravioli

Take each ravioli, coat it in flour, dip it in the beaten eggs, and then coat it in the breadcrumb mixture. Make sure each ravioli is evenly coated and set aside on a plate.

Frying the Ravioli

  1. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large, deep skillet or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can test this by dropping a small piece of bread into the oil; if it sizzles, it's ready.

  2. 5

    Fry the Ravioli

Carefully add the breaded ravioli to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.

  3. 6

    Drain the Ravioli

Use a slotted spoon to remove the fried ravioli from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Repeat the frying process with the remaining ravioli.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve with Marinara Sauce

Transfer the fried ravioli to a serving platter and serve warm with marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
