Mac 'n Cheese Base

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the macaroni

In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the cheese sauce

In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute. Gradually whisk in the milk, ensuring no lumps form. Cook until the mixture thickens, about 2-3 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add cheese and seasonings

Remove the pot from heat and stir in the cheddar cheese, salt, black pepper, and paprika until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.

  4. 4

    Combine macaroni and cheese sauce

Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir until well combined.

  5. 5

    Add toppings

Top the mac 'n cheese with the chopped brisket burnt ends, diced tomato, and sliced green onion.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve hot and enjoy your Mac 'n Cheese Mixology!
