BBQ Sauce and Meat

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Meat

Preheat your grill or oven to 300°F (150°C). If using pork shoulder, trim excess fat. For chicken, ensure pieces are skinless and boneless.

  2. 2

    Make the BBQ Sauce

In a bowl, combine BBQ sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until smooth.

  3. 3

    Marinate the Meat

Rub the olive oil over the meat. Coat the pork or chicken evenly with the BBQ sauce mixture. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to overnight in the fridge for more flavor).

  4. 4

    Cook the Meat

Place the marinated meat on the grill or in the oven. Cook for about 1.5 to 2 hours, basting with additional BBQ sauce every 30 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 195°F (90°C) for pork and 165°F (74°C) for chicken.

  5. 5

    Rest and Serve

Once cooked, remove the meat from the grill or oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes. Slice or shred the meat and serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
