Method

Prepare the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Take the ribeye steaks and season both sides with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Let them sit at room temperature for about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned steaks. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting the time based on your preferred doneness. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes.

Prepare the Eggs

  1. 3

    Cook the Eggs

In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, crack the eggs into the pan. Cook to your liking (sunny-side up, over easy, etc.), seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve the Dish

  1. 4

    Plate the Dish

Slice the rested steaks and place them on a plate. Top each steak with the cooked eggs. Garnish with chopped chives and serve alongside halved cherry tomatoes.
