Pasta Preparation
- 1
Cook the Fettuccine
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Chicken Preparation
- 2
Grill the Chicken
While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a grill pan over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. Grill for 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F). Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Alfredo Sauce Preparation
- 3
Make the Alfredo Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, nutmeg, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Combine and Serve
- 4
Combine Everything
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked fettuccine pasta with the Alfredo sauce. Toss to coat evenly. Slice the grilled chicken and place on top of the pasta. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
