Method

Preparing the Fries

  1. 1

    Fry the Potatoes

Preheat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a large pot to 180°C (350°F). Add the frozen French fries in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove fries with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Preparing the Toppings

  1. 2

    Cook the Bacon

While the fries are frying, cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess grease. Once cooled, chop the bacon into small pieces.

  2. 3

    Chop the Green Onions

Wash and finely chop the green onions. Set aside for garnish.

Assembling the Dish

  1. 4

    Layer the Ingredients

Once the fries are cooked and crispy, place them on a large serving platter or oven-safe dish. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the hot fries, followed by the chopped bacon pieces.

  2. 5

    Melt the Cheese

Place the platter in the preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for 5-7 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

  3. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve hot with a side of sour cream for dipping.
